We had three teams win the Piedmont Shootout this past weekend:
U11 Maroon
outscored opponents 24-2
U12 Maroon
outscored opponents 33-3
U19 Maroon
outscored opponents 30-1
The Salem Sabres U-19 team won the top group of the Richmond Cup that was played on September 5th and 6th. The team defeated a team from NC in the first match, 5-0. The second match was played against the Beach FC Pirahnas Elite, as the Sabres defeated them 2-0. The Sabres won the Championship game over the FC Richmond Mystic 1-0 in OT to claim the title. Claire Sexton scored the game winning goal in the final. The team played great all weekend, while outscoring their opponents 8-0.
The Salem Sabres Futbol Club had two teams win their respective divisions at the Twin City Classic Tournament.
